CANCELED: Code Lab | Visual Synthesizer with Hydra

This event is canceled due to inclement weather.

Using the powerful coding language Hydra, create various abstract visual images animated on the screen. Software developer and experimental musician David Minnix will guide you through basic code to create a broad and startling array of images.

Check out this video for more information on Hydra.

Users who are sensitive to flashing images are cautioned that Hydra code can sometimes produce such images.

Intro to 3D Design

Join us for a basic introduction to 3D design! Using TinkerCad, we will construct two simple objects in a follow-along format, and then print the objects using the library's 3D printing resources. This session is intended to provide basic skills that can later be built upon at home.

Who Cares About Data Literacy?

Using data from a past Summer Game, we will explore how to use and misuse data sets, how to extract information from them, and how to visualize our findings. What was the most popular Summer Game code? When is the Game played the most? And what is the code for this event? Join us to find out everything! We will also look at all the publicly available datasets available for free online. All basic statistical concepts explained and no coding is required.
