Come and learn how to write your own interactive fiction using a simple coding language and then play through the stories that you and others have written! As some typing is involved with this program, basic keyboard skills are necessary.

Do you dread the Linux command line and start sweating when you see "~$"? If so, learn all the fun and powerful things you can do in a Linux shell with this hands-on tutorial. You'll be chmodding and cowsaying in no time!

Design and print a keychain that says almost anything you'd like! In this basic introduction to 3D design, we'll use TinkerCad to design a keychain, then print it using the library's 3D printing resources. This session is intended to provide basic skills that can later be built upon at home.

Children will learn about magnets, polarity, and attraction by making a magnetic discovery bottle.

Take a quick tour of the Secret Lab to see all that it has to offer: letterpress, sewing, button-making, 3D printing, laser cutting, and physical computing with the Raspberry Pi.

Explore the wide range of electronic sensors that can be connected to a micro-board like the Arduino or Raspberry Pi. We will use reed switches, ultrasonic and optical sensors, and more. Some typing is required.

If you've always wanted to know how to solder, now is your chance. AADL has its very own Secret Lab soldering kits that light up with an LED and battery. You do the soldering, turn it on, and voilà! Let there be light!
