KENNETH C. TAPPE DIES SUDDENLY

Heart Attack Fatal To Car Sales Manager

Kenneth C. Tappe, 44, manger of the Huron Motor Sales used car department and resident of Ann Arbor for the past ten years, died suddenly of a heart attack yesterday as he left work for home. He lived at 610 Robin Rd.

He was born in Cadillac on April 25, 1908, a son of George and Lillie Anderson Tappe. On Dec. 30, 1938, he was married to Bernice L. Lowry of Ann Arbor. She survives.

In 1931 Mr. Tappe came to Ann Arbor where he became associated with the Huron Motor Sales as a salesman. He held this position until 1938 when he was promoted to manager of the used car department.

Was Presbyterian

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor, the Golden Rule Masonic Lodge No. 159 F. & A. M., and the Zal Gaz Grotto No. 34.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Kenneth C., jr., and Robert P., and a daughter, Margaret Anne, all at home; two brothers, Leonard A. of Ann Arbor and Walter D. of Cadillac; and four sisters, Mrs. Charles J. Gambill of Richmond, Va., Mrs. Verner Johnson of Cadillac, Miss Lillian Tappe of Detroit and Mrs. Henry J. Campbell of Radburn, N. J.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Muehlig Chapel, with Rev. William P. Lemon officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at Forest Hill Cemetery by members of the Golden Rule Lodge. Friends may call at the funeral home.
