Age 86, died July 4, at his home. He was born January 21, 1902 in Ann Arbor, a son of Henry and Marie (Eberwein) Koch. He was a lifelong Ann Arbor resident. He was married to Mariane V. Burd, April 27, 1925. She preceded him in death November 5, 1943. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He owned and operated Harold Koch and Associates since 1967. He was a past patron of Eastern Star #122, a member and past master of Golden Rule Lodge #159F&AM, a life member of Zal Gaz Grotto, a member of Elks Lodge #325 and a founding member of the Old West Side Association. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William (Jacquilyn) Gibson of Bowling Green, Ohio, and Patricia C. Ryan of Ann Arbor; one granddaughter, Jennifer Ryan of Ann Arbor; one sister, Mrs. Ray (Irma) Clark of Ann Arbor; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at the Muehlig Chapel with the Rev. Howard T. Cole officiating. Burial will be made in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel, 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 p.m. and 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday. A Masonic memorial service will be held at the Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
