AADL's extensive collection of guitar pedals can be daunting. Come learn the basic functions and uses of some of the collection's pedals and then try them hands-on. 

Oscillators are an essential building block of any synthesizer.  Assemble and solder your own square wave oscillator and test it with an amplifier.  The oscillator can be taken home to put into a case or object of your choice. This project will take the entire time to complete.

Join us for instruction on how to use the AudioBox iTwo to record music using a Digital Audio Workstation. The session will include instruction and hands-on exercises. 

Come check out a variety of weird, wonderful Music Tools from the collection and make some spooky sounds of your own. This is a hands on, drop-in event. 

If you have always thought that playing a musical instrument was beyond you, but secretly wanted to try, this is your chance. Come and learn a few basic chords with a local musician and you'll be amazed how many songs you can play right away. Try out guitar, electric guitar, ukulele, and banjo.

All instruments will be provided.

Samplers, synths and drum machines will be available for making beats and recording them.  Beginners welcome; staff will be present to explain the basics and answer questions.

Build an electric piano using the "most popular computer chip in the world," the 555 Integrated Circuit.

This project uses simple circuitry to create an instrument that's impressively dynamic.

Once you are done, you can pair your piano with a pedal from our Music Tools Collection and jam all summer long.
