Faculty and staff from the University of Michigan Comprehensive Depression Center and the Washtenaw Intermediate School District provide a summary of collaborative work ongoing between the Depression Center and the District, with a particular focus on Ann Arbor Public Schools.

A short presentation will provide information about programs in place at local K-12 schools that help address a wide variety of concerns, from academic stress and pressure to depression, anxiety, and risk of suicide. Additional programming available to schools through partnerships with Washtenaw County Community Mental Health will also be highlighted. Panelists from the Depression Center, U-M Psychiatric Emergency Services and Inpatient Unit, and the school district will share their unique perspectives and answer audience questions.

For over a decade, the Depression Center has been working together with local schools to deliver programming for staff, students, and parents that is responsive to the growing need for student mental health support.

This event is in partnership with the University of Michigan Depression Center.
