Description

AADL will be on hand when the Heather Black Project performs live at South Maple Park (2655 W. Liberty Road, Ann Arbor) as part of the Ann Arbor Summer Festival's LIVE HERE NOW concert series.

Time slips back when jazz vocalist Heather Schwartz takes the stage. Her confident, versatile voice is charged with passion, naturally connecting with audiences. Her style is well-versed, traversing jazz, blues, gospel, R&B, soul, and hip-hop with a flair for the vintage. For this performance, Schwartz is joined by The Heather Black Project, a rotating cast of skilled Detroit/Ann Arbor musicians that she assembles for a weekly gig. That initial concept led to an over six-year residency at The Ravens Club in downtown Ann Arbor, MI, with which she only continues to perfect her emotionally and stylistically adroit vocal craft. This particular event features Ingrid Racine on trumpet, Josef Deas on bass, Chuck Newsome on guitar, and David Alvarez III on drums.
