Join us for a presentation by Liana Finck, New Yorker cartoonist, graphic novelist and children's book author, about her work.
Liana Finck is a cartoonist and an illustrator who has contributed to The New Yorker since 2015. She maintains a monthly advice-column comic called “Dear Pepper,” teaches at Barnard College, and regularly posts drawings to her Instagram account.
Finck received her MFA from The Cooper Union and is the author of five books, including A Bintel Brief, a collection of short stories based on an early twentieth-century Yiddish advice column, her graphic memoirs Passing for Human and Excuse Me: Cartoons, Complaints, and Notes to Self, and a graphic novel about the Genesis story featuring a female God, Let There Be Light: The Real Story of Her Creation.
