Kids Rock @ TOP | Michael and the Rockness Monsters

Kick off our Kids Rock @ TOP series with an interactive, super galactic, funk-inspired, rock-n-roll experience for families from Michael & The Rockness Monsters! Their music is both silly and serious—filled with catchy melodies and thick instrumentation. Live, the band takes on new life and becomes what New York Family calls “an odyssey of imagination”.

Smell and Tell: Follow Your Nose In the Great Outdoors

TBD

The Smell and Tell series of lectures is led by Michelle Krell Kydd, a trained nose in flavors and fragrance who shares her passion for gastronomy and the perfume arts on Glass Petal Smoke. The Smell and Tell series debuted at the Ann Arbor District Library in 2012 and celebrates its sixth anniversary year in 2018. It's the longest running series of multi-sensory programming in AADL’s history, and the only one of its kind in the country!

Washtenaw Reads Author Event | Michelle Kuo

Recently graduated from Harvard University, Michelle Kuo arrived in the rural town of Helena, Arkansas, as a Teach for America volunteer, bursting with optimism and drive. In this stirring memoir, Kuo, the child of Taiwanese immigrants, shares the story of her complicated but rewarding mentorship of one student, Patrick Browning, and his remarkable literary and personal awakening.
