Join visiting artist Fulgencio Lazo, a Zapotec/Mixtec painter and printmaker from Oaxaca, for a talk about Dia de los Muertos, ofrendas, and his process of creating tapetes. For more than 23 years, Fulgencio has been working with museums, art centers and community groups to create “tapetes” or carpets of colored sand for Mexican Day of the Dead celebrations.
