Join us to hear readings and meet our authors in our first celebration since 2019. Buy their books, get them signed, and support your local writing community!

We'll kick off the evening with readings by two authors with books published with the library's Fifth Avenue Press imprint:
What does it take to successfully write and publish a children’s book? How are books for kids different from books for adults? Join us for a panel discussion moderated by Alex Kourvo, where we will trace the development of a book from idea to publication.
Come with questions, a work in progress, or an empty notebook. All writers are welcome in this casual, supportive environment. This month, author Alex Kourvo will be joined by Molly Raynor, who specializes in poetry. Both authors will answer questions, share resources, and provide private, one-on-one critiques if you choose to have them read your work. Sharing your writing with other attendees is not required and is completely voluntary.
After the first draft is done, the real work begins. But what is the best way to revise your novel or memoir? In this workshop, Alex Kourvo will show you the easy way to revise your work, taking it step by step from first read-through to final comma.
