in·cu·ba·tor is a space for technology-based artists and creatives to interact with guest clinicians, workshop performance ideas, receive feedback from peers, and discuss the advancement of mixed-media. This meet-up is a low-pressure and collaborative environment that will give those working in technology-based art and those interested in incorporating technology into their art, a supportive and experienced community by which to bounce ideas and hone techniques.

Please join us for an evening of exploration and discussion around equity in climate action in the third session of the 2024 Sustainability Series! Hear from staff of Ann Arbor’s Office of Sustainability and Innovations, Community Action Network, and other organizations about how our programs and collaborative efforts are helping make a just transition to carbon neutrality a realty for all of Ann Arbor’s residents.

Dive into the unique relationship between electronics and sustainability. This seminar brings together experts from a variety of disciplines to discuss the challenges, resources, and solutions around designing, manufacturing, using, reusing, and recycling electronics, one of the world’s fastest growing waste streams. Participants will learn best practices for sustainably managing their personal devices and gain an understanding of the broader social, physical, and economic systems that create electronics, the devices we use every day.

Get ready for AADL's 32nd It's All Write! teen writing contest with this workshop with local Author Mimi Olson!

Middle-grade author Mimi Olson’s storytelling workshop will help middle school students find inspiration and identify the stories that are all around them. In addition to covering many elements of drafting a short story, participants will learn where and how to start their own pieces. She will also read an excerpt from her novel Middle School is No Place for Magic.
