Growing Organic Vegetables with Erica Kempter of Nature & Nurture Seeds | Gardening & DIY Fest

Come learn how to grow delicious, organic, homegrown vegetables. From tips and tricks to basic plant needs you'll learn how fun and easy it is to grow your own food!

This event is just one part of our 3rd Annual Gardening & DIY Fest on Saturday, May 18 from 11:00-5:00 PM. In addition to the workshops there will be vendors selling handmade wares, plants, fresh flowers, body care and more!

An Afternoon Of Improv

This improv comedy performance will be put on by members of Work Friends, a long form improv troupe based out of Ann Arbor Civic Theater.  They use a monoscene form, where they take a suggestion from the audience at the top of the set, build a world based off the suggestion, and live in that world as one character for the entire scene.

For this show, Work Friends will begin with some quicker, short form games, then move on to a long-form set in which their characters will build a narrative together.

Exhibit | Exterior / Interior Spaces

This exhibit features the work of four friends: Kathleen Alfonso, Susan Clinthorne, Suzanne Coles and Lidia Kaku and is centered around the theme: Exterior / Interior Spaces. Through their work, the artists explore the interior spaces of the soul, imagination, the interplay between one's interior and exterior choice of surroundings as well as what is true and beautiful in our nature. This exhibit includes works in acrylics, oils, collage, and mixed media and will be on display from September 9 - October 18 at the Malletts Creek Exhibit Space.
